“Beckett Live” is a project which Rieko Suzuki has been working on since 1999. Rieko performed successfully in “One Evening - Old Earth” (directed by Shogo Ohta) at ‘Beckett’s Autumn in Setagaya’ to celebrate the 100 anniversary of the birth of Samuel Beckett. The 8th production of the project series focusing on the late works of Samuel Beckett, which seldom have the opportunity to be shown here in Japan, is an adaptation of the prose “Company”.

Motoi Miura, whose unique approach has established him an undisputable reputation for drama direction, is back to direct a Beckett piece once again, after the production of “Ill Seen Ill Said” performed at the Tokyo International Arts Festival 2006.
