Palestine - a Land of conflict struggle for freedome and justice. With irony and humor "Alive From Palestine" reveals the reality of life in Palestine, a reality never represented by the mass-media. From a moutains of newspapers, the cast of six palestinians gradually emerge, to the soft strains of Eric Satie, to unfold their stories. Through the day-to-day situation of life, the hopes, dreams and passions of ordinary Palestinians, young and old, are shown. The real Palestine shines forth from their eyes, and their anger and despair is felt and understood. With a combination of humour and irony, Al-kasaba Thaetre allows us a unique insight into the lives, hearts and minds of a people so frequently mentioned in the media, but reality if ever from a human perspective. Based in Ramallah, Al-kasaba Theatre is enhancing the cultural exchange between local, Arabs and International communities.
