Opened in 1972, the Bush Theatre provides a home to experimental plays. "adrenalin...heart", written by Georgia Fitch, a young woman writer, and directed by Mike Bradwell, Artistic Director at the Bush, represents the 30th Anniversary of the opening. Leigh is a white, Catholic, single mother with two kids and works to support her family. Angel is a young black guy who has done time both at University and in jail and now deals drugs. Two people from the most opposite directions meet inevitably and fall in love but On a simple set consisting of only a chair and a desk the two converse. Their discussion, in sharp relief, leads to family, race, drugs, and the problems any of us might face. The Bush Theatre's visit to Japan culminates a three-year working relationship with TIF. |
